Rehearsal on Thursday was great. We were able to work on plenty of stuff for our major concert, which seems to be coming up really quickly.

The concert this year is all about Peter and the Wolf, as well as music from other lands, whether far away or fictional.

On Thursday we rehearsed some music from some distant non-fictional lands, Mars and Jupiter which were written by Gustav Holst. They are coming along really well, even the ridiculously hard and fast bits for the upper woodwind.

We also worked on music from Lord of the Rings which is sounding really ace, too, as well as a few things from Carnival of the Animals.

Without giving too much away, I can definitely say the concert is going to be an amazing night for the whole family, so make sure you get your tickets as soon as possible!
